Greetings and Happy New Year-Apostle John M Boney

Dear Brethren: Greetings and Happy New Year! 2019 proved to be a year of special challenge for many, having started with great expectations and high hopes which, in many cases were not fulfilled or realized. Several times during the second half of the year, international prophetic voices spoke, seeking to encourage the people of God not to despair and lose hope, but rather to continue to trust in the Lord and return to “expectation”. One word declared that God “is using detours and delays for his glory. I am in charge of twists and turns. I am working all things together for good”. And again, “God’s promise to you holds power, and he will use every delay and detour to fulfill his promise and bring glory to himself”, as declared through Helen Calder of Melbourne Australia.

Yet even the most mature and experienced long for the day of fulfillment of the word of the Lord. “Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life” (Pro.1312 NIV). Endurance takes time to develop.
Yet in early December there was a prophetic word through Victoria Boyson from Texas, “You are one stone’s throw away from BREAKTHROUGH”. This word of breakthrough seems to be the word of the Lord for 2020, having come through many unrelated voices. The continued reproach and defiance of the enemy must give way to the Lord who controls the seasons and who will never allow any process to continue forever (Isa.28:23-29), but beyond giving us the grace to endure, also always provides a way of escape (1 Cor.10:13).

I am convinced that the year of 2020 brings us not only into a New Year and decade but also into a new season when the dealings of God with the kingdom people would have reached its goal and fulfilled its purpose. When after 470 years waiting to enter into the fulfillment of the word of the Lord to Abraham, Moses would almost overwhelm Israel with the memorable words recorded in Deuteronomy 8:7-9, “the Lord is bringing you into a good land, a land without scarcity and in which you will not lack anything”. It was not the perfection of the new generation that brought them to this new day, but rather the fulfillment of the agenda of God which he has purposed in Himself from before the foundation of the earth.

To even the casual observer, it should be increasingly evident that we are in the times of the “Spirit of the Sovereign Lord”, when every force, every stormy wind, every contrary voice bows before his majesty. It is the Lord who rides upon the storms, it is HIS VOICE that is in the thunders. It is he who shakes everything to unveil and reveal the hidden things, until everyone and everything declares, reveals and sees His glory (Psa.29:1-11). The conflicting world scene does not only manifest the growing darkness but more so the dawning glory that is now already being manifest in a company of people (Isa.60:1-3). Everything in the spiritual realm has already changed and it is now about to be manifest in the visible realm, as 2020 and beyond will reveal.

The changes that have taken place in the earth as ancient principalities and powers have had to stand in awe and amazement, not understanding why things have not continued, as usual, are now irreversible. It will never go back to how it used to be. A company of people in the earth has entered into a new dimension of revelation and authority, and it is this that has caused national, political, economic and spiritual destabilization (Matt.24:29-36). Doors, portals, and dimensions that have long resisted the violent kingdom assault have had to yield, and are now left to declare, “we heard about this long ago, but now we see it in the city of the Lord of Hosts” (Psa.48:1-14). The city that was hidden away in the invisible realm is now being manifest to principalities and powers and they must publicly and audibly admit it. We who have been taken hostage by the glory of God declare that we will never go back to how it used to be.

Let Your hand be upon the man of Your right hand, Upon the son of man whom You made strong for Yourself. 18 Then we shall not turn back from You; Revive us, and we will call upon Your name. 19 O LORD God of hosts, restore us; Cause Your face to shine upon us, and we will be saved. (Psa.80:17-19 NASV).
